Once upon a time I went to school to learn how to produce videos. My goal at the time was to focus on live action game trailers. This led to me specializing in producing industrial and corporate content. I have worked within this field on and off for 15 years, producing a wide variety of content for my clients and working in many different roles.
During a dry spell of video work, I began teaching myself web and graphic design to round out my skills as a marketer.
After working as a general marketer for several years, I tried to start my own company. This taught me a whole host of new skills, but my primary takeaway was a realization of many of the societal barriers placed on large parts of the population.
In 2023 my career took another turn when I was asked to teach film production at Northwest University. Here I quickly put together multiple classes teaching students with a wide range of skills the more formal process of film production.
Now that I have kids, my goal is to share stories that might otherwise be overlooked, and to do it in a way that lets my kids go on the journey with me.
