I grew up on Steve Irwin, Free Willy, and the Lord of the Rings behind the scenes featurettes. This has spawned a lifelong passion for storytelling and conservation.
Over the years I have worked on a wide variety of projects, from narrative shorts to corporate productions to wildlife documentary. Throughout my career I worked a wide variety of roles, filling in wherever I was needed. This has given me a wide variety of skills and experience that have made me a more versatile filmmaker.
Throughout my time making video content, I've always been a tinkerer. This has led me, more often than not to building and designing custom rigs to get the shot I need. These rigs have ranged from a simplified glide cam to cranes and underwater camera platforms. Having custom rigs allows me to capture unique images that would be difficult to capture any other way.
Now that I have kids, my goal is to share stories of the parts of the planet that need our attention, and to do it in a way that lets my kids go on the journey with me.
